Jewellery maintenance
Silver jewellery
The silver jewellery is made of 925 sterling silver. Silver lasts a lifetime and does not discolour. However, deposits will form, which is a very normal process and is called “oxidation”. The jewellery gets a black glow or small black spots and it looks duller. The speed at which the jewellery oxidizes depends on the humidity and the acidity of the skin.
This deposit, dirt and dullness, which can arise over time, can be polished away with a soft jewellery cloth or you can clean the jewellery in a soda bath.
Store the jewellery in a dry and dark place when it is not being worn and take it off while sleeping, showering or exercising to maintain the quality of the jewellery.
Gold jewellery
The gold jewellery has a base of real silver, with a high quality 18 carat flash gold plating with e-coating. Gold does not oxidize and will always keep its color.
Gold can lose its brilliance over time. To give the jewellery back its shine, you can polish it with a jewellery cloth or clean it in a bath with a mild cleaning agent (e.g. green soap).
Also for the gold jewellery, store the jewellery in a dry and dark place when it is not being worn and take off the jewellery while sleeping, showering or exercising to maintain the quality of the jewellery.
